Mallee Catchment Management Authority Annual Report 2015-16

Mallee CMA annual report, including financial statements, on the condition and management of land and water resources in the region and the carrying out of functions. The report is prepared to comply with guidelines from the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning. The Mallee CMA facilitates integrated and ecologically sustainable management of natural, cultural and productive landscapes occurring within the Mallee region. The Annual Report is audited by the Victorian Auditor-General's Office prior to tabling in state parliament. Catchment Management Authorities were established in 1997 under the Catchment and Land Protection Act 1994 (CaLP Act). The Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Water is responsible for this public body. The Public Administration Act 2004 and the Financial Management Act 1994, together with the Mallee CMA's Board Charter of Corporate Governance also provide guidance in relation to the Mallee CMA governance requirements.
