EPA Victoria Licence - Location Points

DO NOT ORDER THIS VERSION. See VDP version

This dataset contains the current licences issued by EPA Victoria.

Under the Environment Protection Act 1970 (EP Act), occupiers of premises with the potential for significant environmental impact are subject to EPA works approvals and/or licences and/or financial assurance requirements.

A licence is a legal document held by a legal entity, whether a person, a company, a statutory corporation or a municipal council and contains standard conditions to control the operation of the premises so that there is no adverse effect on the environment. These conditions address areas such as waste acceptance and treatment, air and water discharges, and noise and odour.

An amalgamated licence is a legal document issued to a duty holder with multiple sites, with schedules for each site, for example, a waste treatment company.

This dataset mirrors the licence data available on EPA's website interaction portal, but may not be up to date due to data transfer processes. For the most up to date data, go to EPA's website interaction portal.
