This dataset contains a list of current public measles exposure sites in Victoria. Exposures sites have been identified through public health investigations of confirmed measles cases. A list of public exposure sites are published to inform the Victorian community and health professionals of locations, dates and times were potential exposure to measles may have occurred. Listed exposure sites are specifically of public locations where measles cases had attended in their infectious period and do not reflect a complete list of all possible exposure locations such as private addresses.
Data are updated on an ongoing basis as new exposure sites are identified, and sites are removed once the symptom monitoring period has passed. Listed exposure sites reflects information available at the time of publication and may be revised as investigations progress. This dataset should not be used as a definitive record of measles transmission or a substitute to clinical or public health advice.
