Victorian Alpine Resorts - Daily Snow Depth Records Mount Stirling

Snow data is sourced from reports produced and disseminated by the Snow Victoria Snow Report, using data collected each morning by on-mountain staff. The measuring of natural snow depths is done at up to four gauge locations (snow plots) at the resort. From these locations an average overall depth is ascertained, as well as an average 24hr snowfall. The snow reporting service ceases when resort operations cease, be that before or at the official end of the snow season. As a consequence, no snow depths are reported subsequently, notwithstanding that significant snow depth may remain.
